    OK so lets have some more views on this;

    1; If UKIP were to become 2nd or 3rd then they would have made that breakthrough at the last general election when all
    3 major parties were at there lowest, they didn't get 1 seat which says a lot.

    2; The bye elections probably not the best way to look at future results, but them the mouse doesn't seem to breaking
    through and as others have said he's hated in scotland,wales and the North.

    3; It would be interesting to see the full results of the bye elections as i recall paul watkins being applauded for coming
    second in barnsley but he actually lost by 20,000 votes or more
    4; If UKIP have selected a person who doesnt know which party he wants to be in, then im sure the local people will
    vote even less than the 660 votes he got last time, wonder if alexander is happy with the selection of a ukip candidate
    who has little hope in Dover(over to you alexander)

    5; Its great that labour is still holding it's own

    6; of course in Rotherham like most councils they are officer led(peter any views) and this a good example where cllrs
    were not in control
