Mark Harper is the Minister of State for Immigration.

Mark Harper was elected Member of Parliament for Forest of Dean in May 2005 (re-elected May 2010). In December 2005, he was appointed shadow minister for defence and in July 2007, shadow minister for disabled people. Following the formation of the coalition government, Mark was appointed Minister for Political and Constitutional Reform.
He was born in 1970 and educated at Headlands school, Swindon, and Swindon College, before studying philosophy, politics and economics at Brasenose College, Oxford. He qualified as a chartered accountant with the professional services network, KPMG, in 1995 and, until 2002, worked for Intel Corporation in a variety of spheres, including finance, business operations and marketing, before establishing his own chartered accountancy business in the Forest of Dean.
Mark was a governor at Newent community school, Gloucestershire, from November 2000 to July 2005.
