Indeed Im sure you are right Mark, why ride all the way here to make crop circles in a shropshire field. But thats just the point..this is where true advanced thinking kicks in, they didnt come to make circles at all.. these 'circles' are in fact the bases of the stanchions that support the craft proper. These are quite large these stanchions, generally, and keep the craft well off the ground so that you get no singeing on the surface when it takes off. Lets face it, and calculations prove this, that the amount of energy used to catapult the space vehicle onto Uranus and beyond would be quite substantial.
Seriously though...who is doing the crop circles??
