Many of us are familier with the BBMF Lancaster which many of us have seen at many an air display, well this year we are in for a treat! Sadly it is not 'JUST JANE' our own second Lanc, she still remains grounded, but the Canadian Lancaster is comeing!
At a date as yet to be reveiled, the Candian Lanc will be flown to England this summer, and, following a major service, will stay and fly with our own aircraft for a month, watch this space for details!
Let us prey that the gods allow JJ to fly as well, or is that asking too much? But two Lancs together in the overhead! Getting my cameras ready already!

Brilliant. But how much better it would be if they could get the other Lanc ready and see a three Lanc formation.....
By the way Phil - HK Models are soon to release a 1:32 scale injection molded Lancaster model - the wing span will be about 39 inches!!!! (they have already produced a B17 in this scale)
I would love to build it myself but where would I display or even keep it at that size? Building it at that size would be a challenge too even with my big workbench.

Was 'Just Jane' the one which used to stand at the gates of Scampton airbase? which I used to pass regularly.

Barry did you know that building these model kits is one of the activities that they give our troops suffering with combat stress to do as part of their recovery.and apparently it is good for them.

I can understand that Harry.
I got back into it to get my mind off work and help me relax of an evening before sleep, it really did help my wind down and I sleep better as a result.
