    That's right Howard, in the Market Square and up Cannon Street; if enough stall-holders were happy to come here, up Biggin Street too.

    It's wasn't supposed to be a panacea for all of Dover's ills, but an attempt to increase the foot-fall in the Town and therefore increase the shops' income too.

    I would never have conceived that shop-keepers would be asked to have a market stall here, that's nuts to say the least; probably because they don't know how to do anything different.
    All the stalls would be asked (told) to have a green and white striped cover, so they all look smart and not tatty and there would be a market manager to look after the running of it.

    But as I'm not involved anymore, none of my thoughts and ideas will be taken forward.
