There has been much talk about tweeting while debates are going on in the House. I think MPs have voted in favour of doing it as it fills up the time during the long hours of some debates...but doing it as a frontbencher while sitting four feet from the Prime Minister during the highly volatile action packed PMQuestions..well it seems a bit off!
Cheryl Gillan, Welsh Minister, was doing it and showing new Defense appointee Phil Hammond what she was posting, to both their amusements, while the PM is battling the onslaught from the Labour benches. It's all very odd. Seems completely wrong.
Here is a picture...there was a better angle but I missed it...
If you cant be bothered concentrating during PMQs then what are you doing there??
To be honest i wouldnt know a tweet from a hole in the head, as I never look nor take part. It might be an age thing, but it seems highly inappropriate to do it in the midst of the shellfire of PMQ. What the public looking in make of her gawd knows!
