Stressful news from Middlesborough. Apparently late last week persons unknown(probably scrap raiders) entered TSS Dover (Tuxedo Royale) and caused damage which has resulted in a large ingression of water over the Bank Holiday Weekend. She now exhibits a severe list to starboard and is well down at the stern and touching the bottom. Able UK,the owners are keeping us posted on the situation. These events are potentially disastrous for our campaign but we hope that the situation is not beyond recall. The local Teeside internet paper carries the story with graphic photo! I will bring updates as they come to me.

Sorry to say this Richard but it looks like a one way trip to the scrapyard now. After all your hard work too!

On the contrary Terry-I've just had a very upbeat telephone conversation with Capt Colin Harrison of Able UK. The intention is to pump her out and re-float her ASAP. Contaminants inside the ship are very low level so he believes they can empty her into the river which will reduce costs. It's all an insurance job of course! He asked if we were still interested which of course, with all this extra quality publicity we very much are!
We were also in a position to send him a set of ship's drawings which he was most grateful for to assist with the investigation that they will now be carrying out.
It all certainly looks like we're going to get a positive outcome.
