How about Donald Trump deciding not to run for the USA presidency because he prefers to carry on with his Celebrity Apprentice TV programme?
Nice to know that these yanks have their priorities right!!

Diana
I have long held the view that all Americans think they are in some reality show all the time. I am impressed he could differentiate between the presidency and 'US has talent' (or whatever it is).

many americans do tend to live in a bubble, believing that other countries need them to interfere in their affairs.
after the 9/11 tragedy many were surprised to learn the strength of feeling against their government.

A bubble is right Howard, I was speaking to an acquaintance of mine a day or so ago and he gave me this snippet of information 'Did you know that only 17 per cent of Americans hold an up to date passport', Not a lot of people know that'

Sorry Diana, I thought this was about something else. In my day to "trump" meant something entirely different. But then Yanks are full of hot air anyway.

Perhaps they live in that bubble because that is what their government, power brokers, media and other corporations want and create?
