Speaking of lorries, quite often here on the Terrace we have a problem of wing mirrors being knocked off. It's always wise to fold them in. However a few days ago a lorry came along and thought he could squeeze through without mounting the pavement.
Inevitably he took off the wing mirror of the first car. Realizing this he then compounded the problem by putting his left lock on to mount the pavement with his front wheels. This had the effect of swinging his rear overhang out and scraping along the car and smashing the glass in the nearside door, hooking the pillar and shunting the car forward.
Many phone calls were made and to their credit the DHL drivers then found some polythene to cover the car.
