    Just a thought. There is no real wind to speak of meaning that most wind turbines are not turning during this icy spell. Now if we relied on turbines to power our electricity grid, in a way that environmentalists would have it, I wonder how many people would have died due to the cold?
    I suspect it would run into the thousands over the past three days at least.
    Yet the best that those 101 could manage was a "P,p,p,p, please sir, can we have no more - at least no more onshore but carry on with offshore........sir?"
    While we're here how many businesses would now have shut down? Shops, factories, schools, people's homes dark and cold?
    Ah No Philip! I hear you say, we have back up plants to cover times when the turbines don't work?....................
    Ahem, you see my point don't you?
