good work if you can get it, k.c.c. have employed a mr jeff hawkins in the above role for £.165,000 per annum.
his job is to oversee the new structure of the council.
having cut back on so much senior management they had nobody left that had the skills and time for the role.
I am still in a state where I cannot understand why anyone can be worth this sort of money. Skill and knowledge surely cannot be worth this, or why is not every Police Officer, Doctor, Nurse and Teacher earning this? Come to that a road sweeper or Refuse Disposal Officer have skill and knowledge at their jobs. It seems to me rankly unfair and unjustified for anyone to be paid like this in this day and age, when there is a depression on.

HOWARD
Just before reg does, where is the KCC coming from?
theres something wrong if they can afford to throw away this type of dosh.
But i'm sure reg will reply, that it's time for unitaries, not playing around with smaller savings with shared councils services, be brave make the big decision
unitary council

What are the terms of the job?
Is it permanent or a fixed term contract?
What are the benefits in terms of cost savings this role is expected to generate?
Do the savings significantly out weigh the salary and on costs of the role?
