I thought it might be for the day,but seems I'm wrong!
**Due to damaged railway line points between Shepherds Well and Dover Priory we are unable to run train services between Shepherds Well and Dover Priory until 28/01/2012.**
Blimey thats not good , and the line was closed over the Xmas and New Year as well !

I think there is a bus from Dover to Faversham if you want to get to Victoria

and iv just come back from a very very busy brighton
another place that knows how to bring the crowds in.
but alas they to have no trains from monday to wed between hastings and ashford
with a replacement bus service

I think the work on that line is sheduled to last about 9 weeks Keith its so they can strengthen the Oar tunnel , there was an option to run a train service from Ashford to rye but the rail operator rejected it as uneconomic and is running a replacement bus service from Ashford to HAstings which will double the length of some journeys

been on local news a lot over the last few months with honourable members from those benighted towns expressing outrage.
the rail company cannot win they have to do their engineering work and someone will be unhappy about when it is done.

HS2 train link looks set to be approved.The Shires are not happy.They will put pressure on their Tory MP`s to vote against the Bill !!
