  Nice one - I'd forgotten that and quite quick and simple! (I think the Hamishes are up there grazing Nemo Down.)
  
  If you want long and complicated (if your destination is, say, Stanhope), then you could try Alkham, left over the top to Lydden, up Lydden Hill over the A2 to Shepherdswell, then Coldred and Singledge to Whitfield, Pineham, Guston and finally dump the car down Old Charlton Road by St Eddie's!!
