Replies are much appreciated, thank you for your patience too. My understanding was that the £18,000 is a recurring yearly intresting which has been ongoing for some years. My neighbour swears the loan was to buy the Town Council Offices, rather than take out a mortgage. She mentioned so many things, I truly believe there must be exaggeration creeping in but none the less, it is rather disconcerting. The mention of the DTC being landowners did remind me that allegedly there is a sports field up Western Heights with a large lump sum put aside for toilets to be installed. I did go up there for a walk and if I was looking at the right field, it is on a bit of a slope, so it can't be for football or rugby. So which sport? There was a sign by the wooden gate claiming the area is DTC property and entry is prohibited. I do apologise if my incessant questions /queries are frustrating ,but I am keen to gain knowledge about the area I now live in, nothing more sinister. Having read comments from the regulars on here, it seems the best place to get friendly and knowledgeable replies.
