  There is so much I could say on this subject but I will choose my words carefully as I once had a vested interest. The first thing I noticed about the postings is that those being most caustic are names not known to me and without knowing who they really are I consider their comments of no consequence even though I must confess I do agree with them in part.
  My view is that the DTC should follow the fate of what was once the Mayoral car and consigned to history ( it's in our excellent Transport Museum ). This judgement is based purely on financial reasons as it is a vast extravagance for very little return as it was in my day.
  Keep the pomp by all means but get rid of the pretence that the DTC is of physical value to the Town. I appreciate that I have raised my head above the parapet and have made myself a sitting target for which I will not be able to respond as I am off to Denmark tonight(working), so fire away but please be constructive.
