My angst is with Alison Burton. Unqualified to take on the job. For some crazy reason, we are paying something like £20.000.00, to qualify her for the job. She does a 3 and a half day week. A day at College, qualifying. Another day lecturing other would be Councillors, on how to be better Councillors. For which, yes indeed, she gets paid extra. This is an additional to the £52.000.00 salary she has. Full use of a 4 x 4 for her horse(s) etc. This is a life style most of us can only dream of.
Her attitude is beyond belief. Arrogant, and controlling. There is no customer or public care, and since she had taken this position. Which, once again is a public service one, paid for, out of public coffers. Our Town Council, persona, feel good factor, social integration, friendliness towards one another has nose dived.
There is a huge gap developing between them and us. The people of Dover, are warm and friendly, very loyal to their Town, truly they deserve much more.
