Is the mess outside the town council offices going to interfere with the remembrance day service has one got to stand and look at that pile of S**T what is wrong with the town Clark she should be blasting the contractors for the time its taking and the time of year this work started. Nearly every were you go in dover roads are being dug up that were only worked on some months ago do these cowboy road workers use this town as there training ground.

They seem to have been doing the Town Hall area for ages I suppose the wet weather might have slowed things down with flooded trenches.

Contractors can't just dig up a road when they want to, they have to apply to Kent Highways for a permit.

This is just one example of the trickiest aspects of the 'human condition';life goes on, no matter what. In fact, no matter what, life must go on.
As we all commemorate the sacrifice of war, things such as this afford us a poignant reminder that each recipient of a black-bordered telegram read it with the sound of children playing and the hustle and bustle of other ordinary folk going about their daily routine in the background. It is a reminder of the awful isolation of the grieving individual.
You all will probably not notice these road-works on the day.
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

Tom, unfortunately you can not help but notice the works they are right next to the War Memorial (literally a few feet away) where people normally stand while paying their respects and remembering those that were lost.

I'm assured that it will be finished in time. There is only back filling to do.
