16:0690995Very interesting stuff there Howard. I think I heard a murmur that one of them might have been suspended recently due to poor attendance or non attendance.

16:0990996not heard that paul, there was one a few years back though that got elected and never attended a meeting.
quite impressive that people attend all 11 meetings during the year, what with illness, holidays and business/work comittments.

16:1190998David Lloyd is now gone and not a cllr anymore in my way of thinking the town council should have called a By-Election,and before you say it ,if they done that I would hvae gone for it.But they are not going to till May when we all go to the polls.

16:1290999Roger Frayne, 11 attendances while ill with cancer, says a great deal about him and shows up many of those who's attendance was poor.

19:5491046Reading that list just now, I thought the same thing Barry - puts many others to shame.
Vic is right that David Lloyd has been thrown out as he hasn't made any attendances for 6 months. I always thought David was a good Councillor, seems not.
Thanks for that Howard.

19:5991050Maybe I am being naive but all those who have the low figures (6-7) do not deserve to be councillors unless they have a good reason for such poor attendance. If a very ill man can attend why not the others.

23:2991094Diane Smallwood was very ill for most of the year and now is back fighting fit, some Cllrs like me work shifts and cannot attend all the meetings, but sometimes I can make meetings in the day when others cant.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

23:3791097quite right john that is why i did not mention roger frayne in the latest figures.
diane smallwood stands out considering her poor health, also sheila amos deserves a mention.

23:4691101Congratulations to Diane Smallwood, who managed to attend ALL the meetings despite illness, also Councillors Precious and Smith. I hope Royston and Brivio had good excuses.

11:4491145Anyone can attend a meeting provided they have the time, it is what a councillor does for the Town and their Ward that they should be judged upon. Councillors Hannent and Amos should be congratulated upon both attendance and what they achieve but there are councillors who like Jan Tranter and David Hannent fit in a full time job around meetings and have no equal when it comes to representing their wards,of the other councillors I believe only 2or 3 have full time jobs and they are self employed.
