    Marek - your maths may be correct but the assumption the there will be 22000 redundancies is simply wrong.

    We have to face the facts, regardless of the above, that there will be a big reduction in public sector jobs, that is inevitable with the large scale shrinking of the State that needs to be done. This is why there must a public sector recruitment freeze and the sooner the better. We need a big shift in employment towards the private sector wealth creation sector. We have seen over the last 12 month 1m jobs lost in the private sector while 300,000 have been created in the public sector. This is totally unsustainable economically and must be reversed.
