15 years ago when I was a nurse at Kent&Canterbury Hospital I was in Nursing for 28 years I Riped my spine after some time off went back to work but found it was getting harder to lift ,so I was told that I could leave on my own or they would have to let me go.So I left and went on the sick after fourteen weeks I was sent to see a DSS doctor who told me No Driving, No Lifting, No working in damp areas he said there is nothing really you can do anymore ,I begged for retraing four three years and was told I was to much of A liability no one would take me on so there is no help out there for people like me we are just left to rot. even now at 65 I still have the belief that somewhere I could do some sort of work.I started repairing Computers at home at no charge to any body so it would keep my mind Active but then someone told DSS I was running a business from home but I proved I was not,But thats the sort of thing we have to put up with when you live on state money. I get my state Pension in April so maybe I might find a part time job our Volunteer for something,Sorry about the Rant. By the way I did not get a penny for my back injury as i did not know at the time I could claim but the day after the 3 years was up union rep rang to ask how much i had got when i told him i had not claimed he rang off.maybe they were after a lump sum .
