Whether I think this is good or bad is irrelevant as the truth is that the planning inspectorate have approved the proposal

The people of Dover have an opportunity through the consultation process to have input into the look and feel and possibly some of the structure of the proposed development.

Having said all of that economic forces over the life of the planning consent (20 years) will be what dictates how many houses are built, when etc. It may be that it makes no sense for a developer to build the maximum numbers permissible under the consent and we will then have less houses, it may be that economically Dover takes off and the build is accelerated. Frankly at the moment who knows.

The only thing that is clear and cannot be changed is that the planning consent has been approved.
