    Yes John, I stated early on that you are one of the four who can hold their heads up high and say that you voted for the needs of Dover.

    Keith I am not really sure if you are right or wrong, but I suppose there is more logic in what John says ie; that Gordon would have won the day. Maybe there would have been some fall out over it, maybe. BUT at least the loos would be open.

    People have got to understand that the Council voted on an inadequate and flawed amendment by Cllr Cowan. Pam Brivio had already said that the toilets would remain closed if Pebbles were not allowed to open them. The RFO and the Clerk had said the same (in terms). The Clerk questioned Cllr Cowan twice over his amendment and pointed out the consequence of it. I made a statement too about the consequence of the amendment from the public gallery. The public listened to what unfolded in front of us as though we were in a parallel universe.

    We witnessed blinkered politics. Dover is the poorer for having these 14 people in office.
