A frank pre meeting was held and Jim Hood Pam Brivio and I expressed our wishes as did those who had concerns over Sue Jones's dealing in this matter. It was a free vote but it became clear that the Tories and Indies would vote against the toilets opening under Pebbles CIC including the ward Cllrs Sharret and Dimmock which was a surprise.

Yes it looks as if the toilets will be re-tendered and that means they will not be open this summer,or it is unlikely. My main concern and most who attended was to get them open asap.I pointed out that Cllr Jones's dealing was a bit shady and needed clarification but it did seem that she had broken no rules and they were the only tender.

DTC has spent a lot on toilets since DDC 'washed' their hands over them closing some with a few days notice, and have the 3 community shop toilets as well as putting money into the public toilets that are still open.

I still believe it is a shame we will not have open toilets on the seafront, but others had concerns and that is democracy we voted we lost.
