    First class picture Ian, and how pleasant to have them in your garden. Alas, in our garden with a nice hedgerow behind, the bird population has been decimated this year, the reason being that a sparrow hawk has been coming frequently since the Spring, and I`ve personally witnessed it snatching two thrushes and two other birds. I haven`t experienced this in over 20 years of living here, and at the moment, I have no love for this bird of prey, and sincerly hope it clears off before next Spring as our hedgerow will become devoid of birdlife for another year.
