Here you are Ed ..... This pennant belongs to a friend of mine who was given it by a relative that served on Aquitania, the last of the transatlantic four-stackers.
This was from a completely different age - that of the liner. These ships that were operated by shipping companies, and quite unlike the cruise ships that are now mostly run by interntional leisure corporations.
There are still few former liners still operating as cruise ships, but sadly with age and crippling SOLAS regulations the number is getting smaller all the time.
