I've been off work over the last couple of weeks and have noticed quite a lot of tipper lorries and cement mixers heading up & down Old Park Hill.
Is there some big construction site up there?

Karlos, this is a housing development on the site next to MOD housing on Old Park Hill.
The builders are Pentland Homes

Thanks for that Paul, I think I remember seeing the planning application for about 40/50 houses.
How will these properties be accessed, up Old Park Hill or down from the Port Zone?
Does this mean that the gate up Old Park Hill will finally be removed?

Have had a giggle to myself after reading their brochure:
An Aspirational New Address Elysium Park offers high levels of luxury within a desirable suburban locale, yet is still within easy reach of the town centre of Dover itself with its eclectic range of shops, cafes and bars.
Also:
Families will be equally well placed at Elysium Park with the Green Park Primary and Charlton Church of England primary schools both in easy reach. For older children, Dover College is an excellent independent school admitting children of 3 to 18 years.
Not even the Grammar schools were worth a mention!!

Aspiration is a wonderful selling point. Every home comes with a BMW/Porche/Mercedes 4WD with private registration, so that everyone can see that you are not only insecure, but have much more money than sense. Wives must be in official 'Elysium' uniform of fake tan, teeth and t1ts, with square cut porn star nails and bleached blonde hair.
Me, a stereotyping bigot ?
Maybe, but if the cap fits...

Haha Barri, your post did make me laugh. You do seem to know a lot more than I do about the prospective buyers................!
