    Got a letter through this morning from East Kent NHS giving me appointment at the QEQM for an ultra sound scan, always there or Ashford. As per usual I rang up and explained the Kent and Canterbury was a lot more inconvenient and could go there instead. A few taps on the keyboard later the lady said we can fit you in at Buckland sooner, is that of interest???

    I am now wondering how many other procedures I could have done there if I had known. It seems that they just go for the earliest appointment irrespective of where the patient lives so probably people from Ashford and Margate are traipsing to Dover unnecessarily.
