Jimmy Long, my views concerning Scotland and Wales remain as I stated, but you mentioned Northern Ireland.
The National Assembly there is vital for peaceful union between the Irish of Northern Ireland.
Personally I believe in the future British Isles as Sovereign State, with unified Ireland one of the Four Constituent Countires, but only if this were the will of the people.
As it is now, it is vital not to disturbe the peaceful relations in Northern Ireland.
Our history of the British Isled is interlinked, and if you would like to read an article I recently edited on the Web, you will find that the English Church has its foundations to an important extent in the work of Irish and Scottish missionaries.
Saint Aidan is Irish. The name Scots refers, in the seventh century, to Irish and Scots. The Picts also inhabited both Ireland and Scotland. There is too much beauty in our history to not cherish it!
