did everyone else see the filmed report on the beeb today?

for those who didn't the bbc sent a team out to the kingdom of bhutan in the himalayas trying to ascertain whether local folklore was correct.

they chatted to locals who told wonderful stories of these great beast patrolling the treeline.

cameras were then set up on the likely trails that tigers would use, lo and behold when the team returned and checked the shots thay actually saw a breeding pair, the lady person tiger was lactating.

leaving aside that it was thought that tigers could never live so high up( 4000 metres of 13000 feet in old money), the royal family of the kingdom plus the prime minister are equally excited about the discovery and are as keen as the rest of us in wanting to ensure their survival.

another strange thing is that there are leopards and snow leopards in the same area, normally they mix together as well as the pope and rick jones.

the full programme is on at 9 pm tomorrow on bbc 1 or 2.
