i was reading the other day how prices for entry to many top sporting events meant that only the well off can afford to go to them, so i started digging out ticket stubs that i always used to keep to try and put things into perspective.
16 quid may not sound a lot but my season ticket covering 24 matches that season only cost 80.
this was for the cup winners cup final in 1976 held at the heyssel stadium in brussels, i don't know what the exchange rate was.
