Ticket prices at sporting events

  i was reading the other day how prices for entry to many top sporting events meant that only the well off can afford to go to them, so i started digging out ticket stubs that i always used to keep to try and put things into perspective.
  
  16 quid may not sound a lot but my season ticket covering 24 matches that season only cost 80.

  I have never paid for a ticket to a sporting event since the 1972 Grand Prix at Silverstone. Nor shall I ever do so again. Spend my hard earned to benefit a few prima donnas? You must all be mugs of the first order.

  it is more about memories peter anyone can know the price of everything and the value of nothing.
  
  i can remember everything of that may day in 1965 from the journey on the tube from plaistow to wembley park, the incredible atmosphere with 70,000 east enders and 30,000 bavarians that turned the whole thing into a carnival.
  
  a match that went down as one the great footballing events and all that for seven and a tanner.

  just had some news in about man u,a rather depressing report by all accounts.
  
  man u are planting potatoes at old trashford.so they will have something to lift at the end of the season.
