quite a shock to read this today, a mixture of causes - on line bookings and the arab spring being the main ones.

Not surprising really, I don't think I have ever in my life used a 'real' travel agent or even been through the door of one !!
Online is the way to go as you have instant access to photos and reviews etc rather than the trust of a travel agent

yes i think their days are numbered, i noticed that the one that closed in market square recently always seemed to have people at the bureau de change bit but not many sitting down talking to a consultant.
