Firstly, thanks to Howard for enlightening me a little further.

Just to clarify my position. I'll keep out of the arguments about standards of English, although I do believe that clear communications are vital. Nor do I wish to make this issue a cause celebre. My curiosity has been piqued the purchase of this property, the nature of the body set up to do it and the almost deliberate seeming lack of transparency that surrounds it all.

Keith - in response to your comment re silence on this matter, I'm not really sure that that is an option. If you are unable to raise the issues within Council and therefore have no further information to offer, then perhaps you should consider your role as councillor. In short, as I said when I first initiated this dialogue with you, if you can't or won't provide the answers to my questions, then please at least point me in the direction of someone who can.

Just to reiterate from my earlier post. What is the constitution of Love Dover? Does it have charitable status and, if so, of what precise nature. What are its stated objectives? Who are the current Trustees and what is their relationship to DTC? Are they ultimately accountable to DTC? Answers to these points will get the ball rolling and provide assurance to those interested that there is nothing furtive, underhand or just plain misguided about the existence of Love Dover and its purchase of Dickens Corner.

    Over to you Councillor Sansum.
