00:3683866The latest dismay in the govt is the way the two parties are to deal with those
MP's that don't support the govt line.
the tories will banish to the back benches those that didn't support the line
where as the lib dems(who split 3 ways, nowt unusual there lol) will allow there MP's to continue in post.
Althugh it has to be agreed this is strong leadership from the tories
it has caused many a rumblings in the tory camp
and rightly so

19:3983969i think dave has got this one right keith.
the blues had made no committment on this matter, unlike the yellows.
the blue dissenters probably did so in order to ingratiate themselves with their constituents.

10:0684052Keef I think this government may last longer than initially anticipated for the simple reason that the Libdems have no where else to go. Cable and Clegg issues a statement last night saying the Libdem party was united...its not. Thats another spin. They are now a two tier outfit, those in government those out of government. One section led by Nick Clegg, the other section led by Simon Hughes.
But the electorate would crucify them now, so they will hang on for dear life. Its interesting...nobody basically blames the Conservatives for any of the recent kerfuffle...whats got up voters noses right across the board is the horror u-turn the Libdems did. Pledge one thing to all and then do the complete opposite. Unforgiveable...the voters know it and so do they!

14:5484069that is the exact reason why there will be no election keith.
since the m.p's have found another loophole in the expenses department, they have even more reason to keep their job.

15:0084070I think people power will decide this one
the party of lib dems wont want to see the party totally destroyed and i think we will see the grassroots of the lib dems challenging it's leadership
