One of the reasons I will never join a political party is that there are so many things about which politicians of all parties agree but, in their public pronouncements, only seek to attack their opponents by stressing the differences of opinion, not the areas of agreement. Why? To a large extent this also happens on this forum but I noticed a while ago Keith that you were trying to buck that trend. Hence my comment about your having become more level headed. Others should follow your example, then perhaps we can all work for Dover and abandon the internecine warfare which has held the town back for 50 years. You should all also notice that Charlie, since being elected, has not been Labour-bashing locally. I say locally because he has certainly had a few pops at Labour in the Commons. But locally he has formed links with certain Labour figures. This has upset a few people on the Red side of DTC, I understand. Tough sh1t, any politician who will not engage with the other side for the common good is a dinosaur and should go.
