Just had a email from Tesco compare saying after years of helping 1000s of members with their insurances they have closed down it was only last week they got me a good house insurance policy.
What with the big down turn in their outlets are we going to see even more parts of the Tesco hold on the high st.
closing.

Vic I am not surprised ... shopping in Tescos is very expensive! I think even more than M&S.
After so many years of profitmaking, its only natural that things come down again. The Loyalty system needs to be looked at again. Not attractive no more either.

They destroy town centres and village shops so I have no sympathy.
:Previously individuals could make a living as butchers, bakers, greengrocers, shoe repairers, key makers etc.

It appears that the successes of stores like Aldi and Lidl has finally been noted by Tesco, good news for consumers.

I wonder whether the two small Tesco outlets in Folkestone will escape the cull, never see many people in either.

I think one of the big selling points of businesses like Aldi and Lidl is that they limit their range. In some other supermarkets there can be a whole aisle with tea and coffee on either side, too much choice in the end.
