Have just purchased a new DVD. It's the Complete Humphrey Jennings Volume 1.
I'm a sucker for old film as most of you know, I even lend them to people from time to time! For years now I've been after a decent print of "Spare Time", a GPO film from the 30's. This new release has some cracking footage on it.
Anyway back to the pies, here's a family tucking into a pie like my mother used to make (apart from the fag ash that is!). Yes folks, it's an enamel bowl. I hope it was chipped otherwise it wouldn't have been authentic.

ps Bloody spell check. I said enamel but it changed it to Emanuel!
