- 10 September 2011 08:46125695That good old reliable BBC's Question Time came back onto our autumnal screens the other night. Lots of meaningful chatter about 9/11...but rather than go the serious route here.. I have opted instead to take a mild but jovial swipe at the dress code of the two leading men. Their sartorial elegance is not in question on Question Time, no sirreeee, but did you notice that they are both dressed entirely and absolutely the same. Not a ha'porth o' difference.
Let me get the pictures up at this juncture...

Yes there we are, not a ha'porth of difference. What happened to the Labour Cloth Cap, or the Conservative pin stripe..oh nooo sigh..you knew where you were then but life has gone all downhill.
Does this tell us all we need to know before they even speak, does this tell us that the two sides of the House these days are made up of talking heads that are all exactly the same.

We should have had a 'spot the difference' competition. Well I never spotted it. Interestingly the Liam Fox microphone hangs to the left while the David Miliband one swings to the right. You see, there is so much confusion between left and right these days. Its bewildering so it is.

i'v never been one to take to much notice on how people dressed, its about how they act in life rather than how they dress.
getting onto paulb's post politicians are seen as much the same, but boy are they different in reality.
regretfully the MP's scandal didn't help and this will take a fair time to get over.
of course we don't see the outstanding ones any more, or those that entertained at the same time.
speeches like the one kinnock made with passion in liverpool against the militant party operating within the labour party for one
then passionate speeches by maggie at times
hestletine at a tory conference runningf down the labour party although i didnt agree with him, he was an entertainer and good for the troops.
plus many more,,,,,,
but in past weeks we have seen all 3 conferences totally stage managed, and totaly disinteresting to the general public, the ones that these conferences need to reach out to.
i have mentioned this some time ago but it got poo pood at the time, now people are starting to realise.
All 3 parties(well 2 of the 3)will need to reach out over the next few years
the 2 major parties are struggling its a long way to 2015(if we reach that far)
