Or perhaps political parties should become more relevant to young people?

There have been so many political motivated comments posted on this forum that it is refreshing to find a comment which states the obvious that is so often missed. Thank you for your wisdom Mr Miller.

Mr Austins' contribution is interesting too, perhaps a fine for all non voters regardless of age would be a great revenue raiser but I suspect would only 'muddy the waters.' Imagine the chaos if it produced a 100% turnout!

M/s Higgins, what can I say, I'm sure many young people are concerned about what is happening in the world around them, as they are the one's called upon to fight the physical battles. Perhaps a simplistic view, but wouldn't more honest, less spin politicians who really have other people's welfare and aspirations in mind provide the encouragement for joe public to vote?
