    Many years ago I worked the bar in the Horse under the gentle eye of Charlie Willet, I have known the house all my drinking life! However, it must be said the house looks tatty and rundown, why oh why do you let people who do not use the place write all over it? A face lift is needed if it is to survive.Dover castle staff had many a 'social' evening in the Horse and it holds a place in the hearts of many of us. I hope it keeps going in some way, if not then cheers to one of the last real pubs left in Dover.
