The War Game

The War Game was filmed partly in the derelict Grand Shaft Barracks on the Western Heights:
"I am making a documentary for the BBC's Inside Out program about the Peter Watkins film the War Games which was banned in 1965 for twenty years. The film told the story of what would happen to Kent if nuclear war broke out during the cold war.
The film used 350 non professional from all over Kent and many through the Dover Film Society.
