Apparently the ugly Christmas sweater is all the rage this year and as far as buyers are concerned, the uglier the better. The Wall Street Journal ran a piece on the heinous phenomenon and reported that Google searches for "ugly Christmas sweaters" were up 30% from last year. What's even more shocking is the amount someone's willing to pay for one. This year an ugly reindeer sweater sold for $282.59 on eBay, which broke last year's record of $200!

I can recall those err... interesting types of sweater that Nanny/Auntie knitted that I was forced to wear on Christmas day when I was six or seven. I started rebelling around eight!!
