It is over a year and the Buckland Bridge ones have been closed for a while, the ones at Maison Dieu which are in the centre of town are so run down and in such a poor state that they would need too much money to be spent on them to make them worthwhile. The Stembrook ones as I understand it will be taken over by the Town Council and the mix and match idea is to allow people to use some of the shops.
Some of the shops were keen and I can remember talking to Hadyn when he had the Salle Verte he said he would welcome the use by the public for 2 reasons,1.He would get money from the Council,2 people going in to use the facilities may be tempted to stay and buy something.
