Ive always been a union supporter myself but Im afraid the UNITE Union has tested my long term resolve. I think its run by two guys with a penchant for the 1970's. Although at times I do like what Tony Woodley comes out with but I cant agree with their approach to the BA strike, which is crippling the airline itself and clobbering everybody's holiday plans.
Im afraid his partner Simpson, as the union has two leaders, always a bad idea to have two leaders in anything, is completely out of it..twittering while in high level discussions with BA Boss Willie Walsh. He is an affable guy but jeez that sounds like a schoolkid at play.
Yes I saw a bit on ceefax about the flag. Im not sure what the reasoning behind the ban is..seems bizarre. They are a lot of fun..even have one myself, as I pretend to be English during the World Cup !
