A lot of myths being peddled here.
The number proposed for Whitfield is around 5700 and is over 20-30 years.
Affordable housing is not necessarily social[i.e. council/housing assoc.].
If you do not build new houses then you will not have enough housing to cope with existing employment numbers, let alone employment growth.
That means people travel into our area then go home and don't spend here.
Consequence continuing poor retail and leisure options.
The market will only go where the spend is.
No chimneys, no retail etc.
It's simple.
But of course we councillors are all dim and don't understand as you so often tell us on this forum.
