... as it seems to have started up I thought I had better make an 'official' post.

A few months ago I announced that I am having my best ever year in business and need to reduce my other activities. I started by standing down as chairman of the Hellfire Corner Association and, though I remain on the committee for now, will be taking very much a back seat in future.

In my role as chairman of the Dover District Chamber of Commerce I and the Board have been making some changes and seeing them through to fruition. The Board has recently been strengthened with 4 new directors having been appointed.

With that process now in place I decided that now is the time to compete my personal changes and to stand down as chairman and from the Board and have done so from the 1st December. A couple of other directors have also stood down as well for personal reasons, these too stayed on to see through the changes and to leave the Chamber in good hands.

I enjoyed my time as chairman and for the 10 years I was on the Board and offer my best wishes to David Foley, the Chief Executive and the new strengthened Board. I am confident the Chamber will go from strength to strength continuing the good work representing and helping local businesses.
