Making a right Parus Major of myself, a-flapping and a-hopping about in a vain attempt to attract something slightly more exotic, an Aquila chrysaetos or similar:something from the old-country, but no.
Perhaps I was trying way too hard. I thought it best to retire to my lurkum and turn avian-agent and spy. I waited and I waited, discounting the every day stuff:the rosy fronted Erithacus rubecula and the trusty Passer domesticus. No matter though as I was not only blessed with a fleeting visit from the off-list Garrulus glandarius ('J' for short), but our smallest avian gem making full use of the bathing facility, the darling Troglodytes troglodytes. There are worse ways to spend an hour.
