    Good question, Howard. That's what I asked myself too: where is democracy if there is no vote and no possibility of participation from other members who want to participate.

    That was why I was enthusiastic about the Pledge: it called for a referendum, which is democracy, and UKIP is striving for this. So if I tried to dedicate myself to that in mid November, having been requested to do so, but got no response from the local chairman. Then where was the point?
