i walked past that a few days ago all boarded up and looking desolate.
a pleasant surprise that it is re-opening, fingers crossed it all works out.
seems that london road is enjoying a boom.

Good to see that a closed pub does not have to mean a dead pub. Several Dover hostelries are of course on their second coming (at least). If the government created a level playing field with supermarket booze, the British pub might not go the way of things like community, a sense of humour, and thriving High Streets.
Indeed - and it is something the Brits do well, the whole re-invention thing. And it is the only way to compete and run a business! It is good to see a new venture.
