Good one Reg. Yes Ive seen this video with Clegg which Reg refers to above. The Libdems have made this shock apology on their tuition fees debacle as a party political broadcast to be used in conjunction with their Conference next week, but they liked it so much that they released it early. Now somebody on you tube or somewhere has added music do it , played tricks with it, and they showed it on the Daily Politic on BBC2 and everyone is now laughing at it. It gives the impression Clegg is singing the message. Oh dear! The Libdems just cant get anything right.
Political commentators believe that this approach by Clegg is a massive gamble. He wants your vote in future, he made a mistake, he is tearfully apologetic...but will it work?
In this ever cynical age I doubt it.
I'm afraid the only true route forward for Libdemism will be when they find a new leader.
The tuition fee issue was Cleggs Alamo !
